View Full Version : How to flash on web interface (<5 minutes)

Hi,

This tutorial was realized with DM800 guenuine part (original) it's probably OK with clones...

1) Unplug 12V power source.
2) Push start button & plug 12V power source
3) Your dreambox start to boot & stop (you can see your IP adress to access web interface)
4) Just insert this IP adress on your browser's adress bar & run...

Suddenly cant get mine to work with either Win7 or XP any ideas?
Tried 6 times and no joy. Get the STOP and ip addy but will not flash?

you need to go look for your null modem cable if you cant flash via webrowser

I know mate but that takes too long. I'm just testing images and want to do it quickly. Can't figure out why its not working.

oh i see, could it be that you have tried to put one on with the wrong bootloader? i have had a couple of images that just wouldnt flash b4, i ended flashing it with dreamup

I was under the impression that bootloader did not matter and whatever image you used would auto update bootloader or am I incorrect?

all fail.

Updated via Dreamup to current bootloader and then web interface works.

I learnt that you can put an older or the same bootloader image in via web interface but not a newer bootloader image.

in original dm800 yes , but on clone can upload any image just in finish don't forget upload second stage
