Lately I have seen everyone at it including myself building new versions from Trunk Ubuntu 10.04. Test them they all do exactly the same thing using the exact same XML code. Except for Trunk 130+ where simplemysql genxml plugin has been dropped & totally reliant on J connector if you wish to use mysql for user management. Unless there is a major breakthrough ie CSP supporting 2 protocols newcamd & Cccam then I seriously can not understand the point of using any other trunk except what Bowman has released which is svn-r102.
I like testing all versions. But from experience hats off to Bowman & doubt if I will change versions on my servers until Bowman comes out with a new release. He wrote the code & released the source but to date everyone is recompiling just to make a name without bringing any significant changes to CSP including exotic cards which have already been addressed in svn-102. With all due respect I am not discrediting the guys who bring on the minor changes with the new builds. But they are insignificant.
Reason I am having a go is if you take 5 guys with CSP each of them is running a different trunk version not allowing a set standard for clustering or exchanging connectors which eventually makes it nearly impossible to CSP exchange & creating one huge mother of a cluster where all locals are shared for the benefit of all concerned.
