    vu+ duo, amiko alien 2, skybox f3

    wifi connection probs?

    i have a slight problem lol
    have wifi up and running on my skybox f3
    set up another box all working and connected to wifi in my home
    took it round to a friends house, but cant connect to his wifi connection!
    password is correct etc even tired and removed any protection(wpa password) but still it times out!
    anybody got any ideas?

    i would turn of your mates router turn of the f3 then turn both on router than f3 and try that

    going bk down his later, will try nd let u no the results, thanks Jennifer
    also reading about router settings etc, appears that if the routers protection is set to a dual protection ie: wpa/psk or the like. this might be the problem!
    people saying just change to one specific like wpa etc
    anyway, will keep u updated

    Make sure the router is set to b,g,n and not just n... If it is a wireless n router

    P.s, I think the dual meant it uses 2.4ghz and 5ghz bands simultaneously for faster/better connection,.. Rather than a security setting

    ok managed to sort this
    tried all suggestion but nothing worked. so entered the router and security was set to wpa/wpa2. changed this to wpa2 on its own and it connected 1st time without a problem.
    hope this is an option that most of the people find cures there connection problem
